Roscoe Middle School Grades 6-8
The world for which we prepare our students will be vastly different from the world in which we now live. We also know that there are skills that stand the test of time and must be mastered for success in life. For these reasons the middle school staff is committed to providing the students with a broad range of life experiences linked together with a strong chain of necessary skills: reading, writing, mathematics, understanding, cooperation, organization, expression and acceptance of new ideas, research-based exploration, goal-setting, and problem-solving.
Roscoe Middle School's interdisciplinary teams are committed to offering our students a variety of instructional methods including teacher-directed presentations with active, hands-on learning, cooperative group structures, and individual research and exploration on topics of importance. We firmly believe that learning is a life-long process and that by teaching the skills necessary we provide the world with adults prepared for whatever future they decide to create for the world.
